The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is one of the fastest and most powerful four-door coupes on the market and is more than capable of delivering a big grin with its factory 553 horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-8. But then there are those who crave more power and performance, and desire to break the 200 mph barrier. Thankfully for them, the PP-Performance BMW M6 RS800 Gran Coupe is here to fly into oblivion.
The team at PP-Performance and their founder, Jimmy Pelka, worked hard to create the perfect power upgrade for the four-door, high-performance coupe. The upgrade program was tested heavily in the second PP-Performance headquarters in Abu Dhabi with its daily highest temperatures reaching 122-degrees Fahrenheit to ensure maximum quality and durability.
Pelka himself was involved with developing the custom-tailored software programming and upgrades for the PP-Performance BMW M6 RS800 Gran Coupe. The name for the package was chosen due to its maximum horsepower output in case the sheer display of speed wasn’t enough.
The 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine gets strapped with a new set of high-flow downpipes mated to an Akrapovic Titan exhaust system for optimized backpressure and sound, along with BMC racing air filters for an affordable 14,999 Euros. These, and the new in-house-developed software tune help to generate 800 horsepower and 701 lb-ft. of torque, which sends the PP-Performance BMW M6 RS800 Gran Coupe to a top speed of 203 mph (328 km/h), making it the fastest BMW M6, ever.
To make the PP-Performance BMW M6 RS800 Gran Coupe stand out even more, they enlisted the help of one of their German locations at the Cam Shaft Premium Car Wrapping facilities in Kempen, Germany. The vinyl wrapping specialists dressed the car in a vibrant Electric Lime color that instantly turns heads if the sheer power output and sound fails.
The new PP-Performance BMW M6 RS800 Gran Coupe is currently available as a complete upgrade package from the German tuning company.
